Jaye

JAYE is back in our care :UPDATE DEC 2024

Jaye is still searching for his perfect home...
Sadly, his last arrangement didn’t work out, but we are hopeful the right person is out there for him. Jaye needs a very experienced owner who can provide firm but kind leadership to help him feel secure. He thrives under the guidance of someone who has time, patience, and an understanding of how to build trust with a dog who may push boundaries when he feels unsure.

Jaye has had a tough start in life, and because of this, he struggles with certain situations. He will do best in a quiet, low-activity home in a calm location, away from overwhelming hustle and bustle. This sweet boy finds too much stimulation difficult to cope with and will need a slow introduction to the outside world.

While he can be affectionate, what Jaye needs most is someone who can dedicate the time to forming a bond with him, showing him that life can be safe, loving, and enjoyable. He is absolutely stunning inside and out, and with the right person by his side, he has so much potential to thrive.

Are you the patient, understanding person Jaye has been waiting for? If you think you can offer him the love and guidance he needs, please get in touch.

Jaye is currently in kennels in Norwich....

NAME: JAYE

AGE: around 18m old

BREED: Boxer

SIZE: average for his breed

SEX: Male

MEDICAL: 4d negative, Brucella negative, neutered, vaccinated and flea and worm treated.

LIVING WITH CATS: no idea sorry

MORE ABOUT JAYE

Wow what a stunning looking boy this dog is, he is a strong boy and needs a boxer experienced home, he loves to be outside and playing all day he doesn’t like to be confined or in a kennel so we are ideally looking for a home where there is a good size garden and plenty of outside time, active home, long walks and play time – he is not for someone who works full time he would not cope being left.

He is pushy but responds well to leadership and needs someone who knows the breed and understands he will push boundaries, but he loves people and will be someone’s best mate once you establish a relationship with him.

He loves the ladies lol – and could live with a female but again he is bouncy and full on so ideally not a very old dog as he could be too much for them.

He will listen to you and is keen to learn, very bright and full of energy.

Please only apply if you are serious, once we receive your application we will text you to agree on a time to call, if you have changed your mind just reply saying not now looking, if not then we can a agree a time for a call to follow up your application, but only if you meet the above criteria and then arrange a homecheck.

He may need housetraining – he will need lead training and will need some time to settle so please also take this into consideration before you apply.

If you have already applied, are home checked and on our waiting, list please do reach out to us.

If you are interested in adoption, please complete our online application form:https://forms.gle/fEBpRPC6dhMgEBfH6AN

Noah

NOAH 4 YEAR OLD NEUTERED MALE BOXER FOR ADOPTION

Noah has sadly been returned to our care after living with his family for the past 4yrs. This was a heartbreaking decision by the family who love Noah very much and have tried very hard working with myself and Ali Carrington to make it work but sadly Noah and the resident male boxer were having to many spats and as the other boxer is an older boy the heartbreaking decision was made with their best interest at heart and for this reason only.

Noah also lives with a female boxer who he gets on well with but can be impatient with her around toys

A MESSAGE FROM NOAHS FAMILY :

It is truly heartbreaking writing this and I hope and pray he will be loved in the future the way we love him here - if only all dogs had got along.

Noah deserves a happy ending and we as a family are absolutely devastated that it is not with us. I never thought it possible to grieve so much specifically because Noah has not died but just not possible for him to live with us anymore

Noah is a large boxer around 34kg he is quite anxious of the outside world, he will pull on the lead initially but does walk well unless he sees a cat/squirrel or another dog. He does check in for treats so this can be worked on. He would definitely benefit from quieter walks away from roads and traffic and with someone that can dedicate time and patience to help him build confidence.

Noah absolutely loves his toys and although he has not shown aggression around these he can be obsessive so for this reason rather than set him up to fail he would be better suited to be an only dog, no cats and no young children.

Noah is a young boxer who like most if you give him an inch he will take a yard so he will need clear boundaries and calm leadership for him to trust your decision making, he will not cope in a busy environment with lots of comings and goings parties and hoards of visitors.

He needs someone around for most part of the day but is happy to be left in his crate for a few hours here and there.

If you are interested in applying to adopt Noah and would like more information before submitting an application please do reach out to me direct Lisa Cody as I cannot monitor this post and reply to comments. If submitting an application please mark your interest in Noah.

Noah is currently in kennels in Norfolk you will need to be able to travel to meet him.

Hugo looking for adoption - is in the UK already

 AGE: 9 years
BREED: Boxer
SIZE: Just the right size for his breed
SEX: Male
MEDICAL: 4D negative, Brucella negative, neutered, vaccinated, and treated for fleas and worms.

LIVING WITH CHILDREN: Yes! Hugo adores little ones.
LIVING WITH DOGS: Ideally, Hugo would thrive as the only dog in the home, but he’s friendly and social with other dogs when out and about.
LIVING WITH CATS: No, thank you—Hugo says cats just aren’t his thing

Hugo is pure Boxer magic wrapped in a bundle of love and energy! At 9 years young, this boy is still active, playful, and full of zest for life. Like all Boxers, he’s got that eternal puppy spirit—just with a few charming gray hairs to show for his years of wisdom.

Sadly, after six months in a home, Hugo has found himself back with us. He shared his space with two other dogs, and it just wasn’t the right fit for him. Hugo’s ideal home is one where he can be the center of attention as the only dog.

While he’s had an incident where he slipped his collar and reacted to a neighboring unneutered male dog, Hugo has also shown his easygoing side, happily socializing with other pups in the paddock. What Hugo needs is an experienced owner who can be his steady leader, building his confidence and showing him he doesn’t need to worry.

He’s currently in kennels, and while he’s being cared for, this affectionate, people-loving boy deserves to be back in a home, sharing cuddles and bringing joy to his family.

If you’ve already applied, been home-checked, and are on our waiting list, reach out to us right away!

If not, don’t wait—complete our online application today. Hugo’s tail-wagging, face-licking love is just waiting for the perfect match. Could that be you?

Let’s find Hugo the forever home he truly deserves.

THIS SWEET GIRL NEEDS A LOVING FAMILY – IDA IS WAITING FOR HER MIRACLE!

 Name: IDA
Age: Approximately 5.5 years
Breed: Boxer
Size: Just right for her breed
Medical: Spayed, 4D negative, Brucella negative, vaccinated, and treated for fleas and worms. She does have some medical considerations – see below.
Great with Kids: ABSOLUTELY!
Dog-Friendly: Could thrive with a male dog companion.
Cat-Friendly: YES!

IDA is pure sunshine wrapped in fur. She’s joyful, playful, and thrives on the company of people, kids, and other dogs. Her big heart is matched only by her big Boxer personality – yes, she talks (barks) a little when left alone, but isn’t that just her way of saying she loves being around her family?

Her journey hasn’t been easy. When we spayed her, we discovered a tumor on her right ovary and a hematoma above it. The tumor caused significant tissue damage, and while we don’t know how long IDA has left, what we do know is she deserves to spend every moment surrounded by love, warmth, and happiness.

IDA is not unwell right now – she’s lively, loves cuddles, and adores playing. She’s ready to share her golden days with someone who will cherish her as she deserves. Could you be the hero who gives her the life she’s been waiting for?

Let’s give IDA the happily ever after she’s been dreaming of.

Homechecks applies. IDA's trip will be supported by us.

Name: Ema

 Age: Approximately 5 years
Breed: Boxer

 Size: Typical for her breed
Medical: Spayed, 4D negative, Brucella negative, vaccinated, and treated for fleas and worms.
Great with Kids: YES
Dog-Friendly: could live with male dog
Cat-Friendly: no

Ema is a heart-stealing, resilient soul who has spent her entire life as a breeding dog, never knowing the warmth of her own home or the love of her own family. This sweet girl is ready to leave her past behind and embrace a future filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Ema gets along wonderfully with male dogs, though she’d prefer to be the only queen in her castle when it comes to other females. She’s bursting with playful energy and lightning-fast speed, finally discovering the joy of running free in a secure, enclosed field—something she never experienced in her previous life confined to a kennel. Watching her embrace this newfound freedom is nothing short of magical.

Ema is starting from scratch when it comes to training. She’s never walked on a lead, and she’s likely not house-trained, but these are challenges that patience, love, and dedication can conquer. All she needs is someone who believes in her and is willing to guide her as she learns what it truly means to be a beloved member of a family.

Could Ema be the one to complete your home? She’s waited her entire life for a chance like this—and she deserves nothing less than a love that will last forever.

Lion

Meet Handsome Lion – LOOKING FOR ADOPTION

 AGE: 1 year
BREED: Boxer
SIZE: Average for his breed
SEX: Male
MEDICAL: 4D negative, Brucella negative, vaccinated, and flea/worm treated

LIVING ARRANGEMENTS:
  • Children: No

  • Dogs: Yes – ideally with a female companion

  • Cats: No

Lion is a strikingly beautiful boy with a heart full of potential. He came from a rough start, unwanted by his breeder due to a retained testicle, and has spent much of his young life in kennels. This has left him shy and hesitant around humans, but deep down, Lion longs for love and trust.

With patience, kindness, and a steady hand, Lion is beginning to learn that not all humans will let him down. He’s making progress, but he needs someone willing to guide him as he continues this journey to becoming the confident, happy dog he was always meant to be.

Lion could learn from another dog preferable female, who can help him build trust and learn the ropes of living in a home. He’s not suited for life with children, as their energy and unpredictability might overwhelm him. But for the right family or individual, Lion could be the most loyal companion you’ll ever meet.

WHAT LION NEEDS:
  • Time, patience, and love to build his confidence

  • Training in housetraining and lead walking – he’s a blank slate ready to learn!

  • A calm and understanding environment, preferably with a canine friend

Lion deserves a chance to shine. Can you be the one to unlock his potential and help him grow into the magnificent dog he is destined to be?

Could you foster a dog?

Fostering is not a lifetime commitment, its a commitment to save a life.

Some dogs don't do well in the kennel environment, it can be stressful for them, others just need time to adjust or learn - fostering is a special role which helps a dog to integrate, you could be the lifeline a dog needs. If you feel fostering may be right for you, please contact us.

Huge thanks to...

The lovely Lyn Austin, who has kindly sponsored our website, in memory of two wonderful SBBD dogs. All of our rescues are special, and we remember each and every one, but our gorgeous Piper, and the wonderful Colin Keely both recently gained their angel wings and both will always have extra special places in our hearts.

Fly high and run free you beautiful pair.
